Lisa Lanier

Title: Assistant Nurse Manager

Pediatrics, PSU, Pediatric Outpatient Center at The Children’s Hospital at Memorial University Medical Center

Hometown: Savannah, Ga.

Program: R.N. to B.S.N.

Lisa Lanier has been working on the pediatric unit at Memorial University Medical Center Children’s Hospital in Savannah for 19 years. Realizing her calling early on, Lanier enrolled in Armstrong and declared her nursing major before she even finished high school.  She decided to attend Armstrong because she knew that the university has an excellent Nursing program that delivers quality nurses.

Lanier was a Star Student in the A.D.N. program at Armstrong and went straight to pediatrics at Memorial upon completion of her degree in 1993. Almost two decades later, she decided it was time to advance her career and returned to Armstrong for the same reason she came in the first place: a program with an outstanding reputation and faculty.

“I wanted Armstrong on my transcript.” said Lanier. “The nursing program is very well respected, and the curriculum is exactly what I need.”

In addition to its solid reputation, Armstrong’s online program also allows Lanier to continue to work full time as the assistant nurse manager at the Children’s Hospital.

“All of the professors in the online program are doing a fabulous job and have been excellent with the online students. They make themselves available any time when I want to review my tests or ask questions.”
